WEEK TWENTY TWO

Dear MJCS Families,

Welcome back! Hope you all had a great Spring Break.

• Mid-term exam this Saturday. Please help your child prepare and arrive on time.
• Parent teacher conference 11:30 am – 12:15 pm
• Congratulations to three of our students for winning two recent ANJCS competitions: Ryan Lin won first place in the children’s division of Chinese Yo-Yo, Kevin and James Pan both awarded 3rd place in the intermediate and advanced level of Chinese Chess. 
• School is selling year book ads. Please contact school admin if you know any merchants or individuals who might be interested. 
• No cultural class this week.

• CACA Chinese Character Recognition Contest at Raritan Valley Chinese School. April 22, 2018. Register ASAP.
• ANJCS Multimedia/Story/Cultural Presentation Contest at Raritan Valley Chinese School. Sunday, April 15, 2018.
• ANJCS Speech Contest at Murray Hill Chinese School. Saturday,  April 21, 2018.
• Calligraphy Contest at Bergen Chinese School on Sunday,  April 29, 2018.

PTO Newsletter for 4/14/18 

1) If you have completed your two PTO activities for the year, please stop by the PTO table in the Cafetorium to request your PTO deposit back.

2) MJCS PTO now sells Asian Food Markets gift cards!  Asian Food Markets has stores in Plainsboro, Piscataway, Marlboro, Jersey City, North Plainfield, and Staten Island.  Help support the school by purchasing ShopRite, Hmart, 99 Ranch Market and Asian Food Markets gift cards at face value.  5%-6% of all gift card sales will be donated to the school.  Stop by the PTO table in the Cafetorium to buy your gift cards this Saturday.

3) Interested in becoming more involved with the PTO?  We are looking for parents to fulfill leadership roles next year.  Please stop by the PTO table in the Cafetorium to learn more or send an email to mjcspto@mjcs.us to express your interest.

4) Food vendors will be in the Cafetorium lobby from 11:00am-12:30pm.  This week's food vendors are:
- Bo-Hai Dumpling (assorted frozen dumplings and buns)
- Domoko Sushi Ramen (teriyaki lunch boxes, noodles and sushi rolls)
- Happy Family (assorted appetizers and lunch boxes)
- Honest Foods (kimchi, fermented rice and Asian-style pancakes)

   *演講比賽將於四月二十一日在梅山中文學校進行。
   *書法比賽將在四月二十九日，假博根中文學校舉行。
   *多媒體／故事／文化海報比賽將於四月十五日假瑞谷中文學校舉行。

家長會通知：

1.  如果您已經完成兩個參與家長會活動的規定的話，請到家長會領回訂金。
2.  家長會持續銷售超市禮卡，有ShopRite、漢龍超市及大華超市等，請大家踴躍購買。每銷售一張禮卡，家長會將獲得百分之五到六的回扣、嘉惠學子！感謝大家對中文學校的愛護與支持。
